Think about how the family of the soldiers who were in the war that died would feel. If you were in a person’s family that died, you might get very depressed. You would probably get mad at your family member for dying, at your country for being in the war, and at the other country for killing that person. You also might wish that you had died instead.

On the other hand if a family member were in the war you would feel very proud of that person. If that person started to brag about how he/she killed so many people, you might think about how you are standing with a murderer, but then you might say to yourself that he was only protecting him/herself. You probably would not even realize that this person might have killed the other person, and destroyed his/her family.

Sometimes people did not even know that they had Jewish blood in them. They would be cheering Hitler on happily when suddenly they were in a concentration camp. They had now clue whatsoever that they were Jewish, but the Nazis found out.

Technology has changed for the better because of the war. Even some games have been made because of the world, like silly putty. Medical technology has changed. Penicillin was invented for the war.

We live in a free country. If Hitler or Mussolini had won the war, we might not be able to live as we do today. In Nazi Germany, if you had a disability, were anything but German, or disliked Hitler, you would have been dead. I am glad the Allies won the war.
