Another one of my thoughts that has changed was how people were treated during the war. Most Jews were treated like they were nothing. Some people were put into concentration camps for going against their government. Others were put in because they had a certain religion. I feel sorry for the people whose homes were destroyed during the war. I think that war turns men into wild animals.

Many of the things that happened during the war but did not have anything to do with the war have affected my thoughts. Some of the things like the Holocaust and the resistance movement have affected me because I did not think that anyone could hate someone or something so much that they tortured and killed them. I think it would be horrible and smelly in a concentration camp. I just can’t imagine how much Hitler hated the Jews its just hard to believe.

During wars many people lose their lives because of modern weapons and serving their country. I think that war is bad but also a good. The reason it is good is that the economy is so much better as a result of war because of trade and making weapons. War is a bad time because many people lose their lives. Over all I think that war is bad for society but good for economy. I think the Second World War was the most devastating war because of the use of the atom bomb and the use of subs and planes.

A lot of my thoughts have changed since I have studied World War II. War is not the kind of thing that happens and you can forget about it. It is one of those things that affect the rest of your life. I think war affects everyone. It affects the soldiers, the people on the home front and even people whose country was not in the war. Many people whom have lost their lives lost them for a good and a bad cause. The good cause being they served their country. The bad cause being they could have lived a longer live instead of dying at 18. That is all of my thoughts that have been changed during the study of World War II.
