War is bad in almost every way. The only thing that comes out of war that is good is that the winners get more land, but you will probably have to fight over it again. Wars are just an excuse for stupid stubborn world leaders to argue and send people out to die.

I think that bombing Japan was good, but bad also. It was good because that ended the war and our guys got to come home. But it was bad because the effects of the radiation are still present today. I’m sure that we picked the best place to bomb them and have an effect. If we had bombed a city like Tokyo that would have been evil. I think that if we knew the effects of the bomb in the future and how many people it killed, then we would have reconsidered bombing them.

I think that if Hitler was alive and tried to start another war Germany, Japan, and Russia would all go against him. He was a horrible person and I’m glad he is dead. If he had just made all the Jews get out of Germany than it wouldn’t have been too bad. But he put them in death camps and burned their synagogues. He had no right whatsoever to do anything like that!

I think that the Germans had no idea what they were doing. Hitler was controlling them and tricking them. The Japanese knew what they were doing when they bombed Pearl Harbor. So in a way the Japanese got what they deserved.

I am glad to be American. We were just protecting the Jews and helping the Allies. In a way, the war was good for us. The Depression ended, we had factories, we advanced in technology, and we won. It was also good because we won on both fronts and they couldn’t beat us on one.
