How has my world view changed since the study of World War II?
By: Daniel

I thought that World War 2 was just a war, but after studying it for 4 months my idea of the war changed. I realized that the fighting tactics were much more complex than I presumed. There were more people involved and alliances formed than I had known. It was a surprise to me that the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor.

In World War 2 the tactics of fighting were more complex than I thought. At first I predicted that the way people fought in wars was that they just charge the enemy and fight until everyone was dead. They actually planed it out before attacking like when America attacked the coast of Japan.

In World War 2 there were more alliances than I presumed. There was the Axis (Germany, Italy, and Japan). There were also the allies (America, Britain, Belgium, France, China, and Russia).

The most surprising thing of all was the attack of Pearl Harbor. The attack of Pearl, Harbor was when the Japanese bombed the Harbor in Pearl City.

Well, we actually had it coming because we bombed Nagasaki and Hiroshima with the atom bombs. We had two atom bombs, the first one was named "Little Boy" which we dropped on Hiroshima, but the explosion was not so little. The second bombs name was "Fat man" which we dropped on Nagasaki. The civilians that lived there died or became sick and lost all their hair then died.

Some of the information that I have encountered was stuff that I didn’t really understand until I learned a lot in my studies of World War 2.

As I said in the beginning of this paper the tactics are different, there were important alliances , and Pearl Harbor is different than I thought it was.
