How has my world view changed since the study of World War II?
By: Cooper
| After my study of World War II, my view
of the world has completely changed. Now the world seems so small to me. The reason the
world seems so small to me is knowing more about how many people lost their lives because
of where they were. In war you have got to be at the right place at the right time or else
it may cost you your life. Hitler made the world seem so small. Hitler made the world seem so small for the fact that he could send men all over the globe and still win so many battles. It astonishes me how one man can become so powerful. He started as a spy in a political party that he eventually took over and renamed it the Nazi Party. Its amazing how war can turn men into monsters. I find it astonishing how one war can lead to another. After World War I the Treaty of Versailles made Hitler so angry that he wanted to get back at the Allies. This anger caused Hitler to form an army of men to fight the Allies. This army was powerful and they started a war with the Allies. Hitler was so cruel to people just because they did not believe in what he did. If this type of thing ever breaks out again I will do everything I can to stop it. What did the Jewish people ever do to Hitler to make him kill them by the millions? How did Hitler know whether or not they were Jews? If he was not sure if they were Jews he would kill them anyway. It just so happened that soldiers would run into a man on the streets and could tell he was a Jew. That is another reason why the world seems so small now. How do you get a bomb that can blow up a city all the way across the Pacific Ocean in a plane? The technology in World War II took a giant leap. Who would have thought that it would be possible to get an explosive that can blow up a whole city across the ocean in a plane? Someone obviously thought "We build an airplane bigger so we can carry bigger loads." The "Panzers", the German tanks were also a great leap in technology. The radio was very popular and gave people most of the news they had about the war. In my opinion, the war brought a lot of families closer together. I think that huddling around the radio every night really brought families closer together. Plus, do you think in those bomb shelters they just sat there and stared into space? Of course not they sat there talked to each other. I think that the war not only brought families closer together but also the countries. The Allies really bonded on one hand of the war were the Axis countries really got close on the other hand. After the Japanese finally surrendered I think it really told them "We are the bosses, but we are forgiving, so this is one of the chances you have to be with us." The war almost completely ruined Europe and Japan forever. War just devastates land. The Allies were nice enough to get down on all fours and help the Axis back to there feet after the Allies had one the war. My study on World War II has completely changed the way I look at the world. Hitler and his army made the world seem so small to me with all their troops. The technology of that war has just blown me away such as my study on the Atomic Bomb. I always thought war devastated families but after this learning experience I learned it brought some families even closer together. The Allies were kind and generous when they created the treaties after they had won and helped the Axis regain their cities. |
