The Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) is the largest international
professional organization dedicated to improving educational outcomes for individuals with

professional development, advocates for newly and historically underserved individuals

Duke Universitys Talent Identification Program (TIP) is committed to
identifying a cademically talented students and to providing model programs and services to support the development
of their optimal educational potential. TIP is dedicated to being the national leader in
offering innovative, high quality programs and services for academically talented children
& youth and their parents, with the goals of better understanding and serving
Americas most academically talented students. The Talent
Search identifies academically talented 7th-graders based on standardized test scores
achieved while attending elementary or early middle school. Candidates are identified and
invited to complete either the SAT I: Reasoning Test or the ACT Assessment college
entrance examination. |
