Now
that you have studied about one of the mysterious groups of people and the
places they created, and listened while other groups shared their
findings, I hope that you have learned that many strong civilizations have
arisen, thrived, and yet did not survive forever.
Some of the cities were lost
because of invading new groups of people, others by famine, disease, or
misuse of the land. What kinds of lessons can you learn from this study?
Do you see areas of our own civilization that may be a weakness? What can
you do to help YOUR civilization maintain its strength?
