The Meaning of Mythology

Procedures

1.   First you will need to find information by using the Internet Resources page and books from the library.

  • Each member of the group should look for a myth.
  • You should then share your myth with your own group members.
  • Be sure to record bibliographic information about your resource for the credits later.

2.  Next, you will select a myth to share with the class.

  • The group should decide which myth to use.
  • You should try to locate at least 2 versions or sources for the myth. Compare and contrast. Which is the best version?
3.  Then you will complete a PowerPoint presentation to  present  what you have learned about your myth to the class.
  • Your group needs to make a decision about dividing group responsibilities?
  •   What jobs are there to be done?
  •   In what order will they need to be completed?
  • Who will do each job?
4. Your PowerPoint presentation should have:
  • A title page at the beginning
  • A credits page listing your resources
  • An author page
  • The main text from the myth
  • Any graphics you select (be sure to give credit and follow copyright guidelines.)
