Shawnee Cemetery,  Est. 1872

The Shawnee Cemetery, at this point, has not been well studied.  Linda Lewis is currently in the process of doing the transcription.  It sits between the St. Joseph and Pleasant View Cemeteries in western Shawnee, Kansas.  We were surprised that the Shawnee Cemetery did not seem to be well taken care as the other two cemeteries.

One of the tasks we had to complete at the Shawnee Cemetery was to find the oldest person's grave and graves from people who served in The War of 1812, The Civil War, World War 1, World War 2, the Korean War and the Vietnam War.  Mac made a chart of our results.
