Mac's Trip to Ft. Scott, Kansas

My parents and I went to Ft. Scott, Kansas over Spring Break. Fort Scott National Cemetery was the first national cemetery dedicated by President Abe Lincoln.  The tombstones were either flat markers or headstones, some had foot-stones.  All stones were marble.  There were veterans from the Civil War, WWI, WWII, Korea, and Vietnam.  Some of the Civil War graves contained Indians.  Confederate graves were placed parallel to Union graves because of the war.
